In short the ACC SportSmart Warm Up programme it is a complete strength and conditioning warm up guide that aims to improve performance and keep athletes injury free. Athletes will become fitter, faster and stronger with a lot of science to back this up. Researchers and specialists studies have proven this programme reduces injury from 30% - 50% and it also increases team performance. The warm up should replace usual warm ups prior to training and games. No matter what sport; hockey, rugby, netball, football, league or so on, this warm up will benefit all individuals. The programme is based on football’s FIFA 11+ warm up programme which has been implemented in a host of other countries around the world including Germany, Brazil, Spain, USA and Japan and the same programme which other sports within NZ have based their sport safe programmes on.
